Celebrate Love and Diversity at This Year’s Queer Prom with HiTOPS

Growing up, many of us in the LGBTQIA+ community never saw ourselves reflected at prom. For too long, school dances came with unwritten rules: who you could bring, what you could wear, how you were expected to behave. For queer youth — especially those just beginning to discover and embrace their identities — that environment could be isolating, if not outright hostile.
But now, we’re creating new spaces. Joyful spaces. Affirming, fabulous spaces. And I’m so proud to say that one of the most exciting of these is happening right here in our community.
🎉 HiTOPS Queer Prom 2025: QUEERNIVAL
🗓 Saturday, May 31st, 2025 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 The Arts Council of Princeton
This year’s Queer Prom, hosted by the incredible team at HiTOPS, is themed "QUEERNIVAL" — and it promises to be a night of color, celebration, and unapologetic self-expression. Designed by and for LGBTQIA+ youth, this event creates the kind of safe, inclusive, and empowering space that every young person deserves.
And yes — the entertainment is going to be next-level!

✨ The dazzling Lady Celestina and the electrifying Spectra Electra will make special appearances, bringing their signature charisma, style, and joy to the celebration.
This isn’t just a dance — it’s a statement. It says to every young queer person: You belong. You are seen. And your joy matters.
As a councilman, I’m committed to ensuring that our towns and institutions reflect the values of inclusion and respect. As a community leader, I know how critical events like this are in building support networks and confidence among LGBTQIA+ youth. And as a queer person myself, I can’t tell you how moving it is to see this kind of love and validation being offered to the next generation — something so many of us never had.
So here’s what I ask:

👉 If you’re a parent, teacher, or mentor — share the link and support their experience.
👉 If you’re an ally — consider donating to HiTOPS or volunteering for future events.
