Three Communities, One Healthy Challenge! Let's Get Moving!

West Windsor, Robbinsville, and Chesterfield come together for the inaugural Stepup Challenge Cup, November 2–15, 2026.

Did you know that New Jersey has a statewide initiative dedicated to helping communities become healthier, more active, and more connected?

The Mayors Wellness Campaign, established in 2006 by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, has grown to include 435 of New Jersey's 564 municipalities, representing more than three-quarters of the state's communities. This statewide initiative promotes physical activity, healthier lifestyles, mental well-being, and stronger community connections.

West Windsor was even recognized as a 2025 Healthy Town to Watch!

It's a reminder that building healthier communities starts with something we can all do: taking small steps toward better health.

A Local Nonprofit Bringing Communities Together

As part of this statewide wellness effort, Aadhyatmik, a Robbinsville-based nonprofit dedicated to cultural engagement, community service, and bringing people together, is organizing the inaugural Stepup Challenge Cup.

It's a great example of how a community organization can encourage healthy habits while strengthening connections among neighboring towns.

Now for a Little Healthy Competition!

From November 2 through November 15, 2026, residents of West Windsor, Robbinsville, and Chesterfield are invited to join a friendly step-counting challenge.

The goal? Get moving, have fun, and show some community pride!

While there's a cup to be won, the real victory is getting more of our neighbors involved in a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Whether you're walking through a local park, exploring your neighborhood, or simply adding more movement to your daily routine, every step counts.

When Our Communities Get Healthier, Everybody Wins

Walking is one of the simplest ways to improve physical and mental well-being. Regular physical activity can support cardiovascular health, reduce stress, boost energy, and encourage us to spend more time outdoors.

And when neighboring communities participate together, even in a friendly competition, we have an opportunity to build connections, encourage one another, and celebrate a shared commitment to healthy living.

So lace up your sneakers, invite your family and friends, and show some hometown pride!

Three towns. One shared commitment to wellness. And a little friendly rivalry to keep us on our toes!

The Stepup Challenge Cup runs November 2–15, 2026. Sign up today and let's get moving!
