On January 16, 2024, Dan Weiss was sworn in as a Councilman for West Windsor Township.  His term will last four years.

Dan has been a West Windsor resident for over 30 years.  He has a long career of leadership in business and technology innovation, working for companies such as Microsoft and Dow Jones & Company.  Dan is proud of his success. Recently, during 7+ years at Microsoft he built a national team of senior business and technology strategic advisors who guided executives in Fortune 500 companies in their pursuit of business transformation programs.  As a member of the America’s advisory leadership team at Microsoft, he directed the organization’s commercial operations using data informed decision models.  As a hands-on leader, coach, and mentor, Dan influenced over $1 billion in revenue.  He was repeatedly lauded for success in modeling, coaching, and caring for high performance teams.  Dan championed a growth mindset culture that integrated best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the business.

Dan is the proud father of three children, all who attended schools in the WW-P school district.  He has a passion for gardening and landscaping; you can often find him working in his yard.  When not in the garden, Dan enjoys musical theater and the performing arts.

Dan serves as the Secretary of the West Windsor Municipal Democratic Committee, and Committee delegate of West Windsor District #5.  He has also served as the President of the West Windsor Democratic Club.

Dan strongly believes that individuals have the fundamental right to life, liberty, economic freedom, and the pursuit of happiness: all people should be treated fairly in both the benefits and the obligations of society.  Dan is a member of, and contributor to social and environmental justice groups such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, March for Our Lives, The Trevor Project, Southern Poverty Law Center, PFLAG, The Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice, and many more.

Dan believes that a successful township government requires that leaders listen to all residents. The needs and desires of residents will inform the focus on areas such as sustainability, development, public safety, and education excellence.  Decisions should be made transparently, based on the best interests of the township, and not outside corporate developers.  Dan will leverage his fiscally sound decision-making mindset to ensure that representation is a key element in all government processes.
