The Mercer County Board of Elections is hiring Board Workers for Election Day and Early Voting.
New Jersey Primaries will be held on Tuesday, June 4th. The General Election this year is Tuesday November 5th.
Eligibility:
Registered to vote in Mercer County*
Able to read and write legibly
Able to lift 50lbs. (the weight of opening a voting machine)
*Mercer County Board of Elections participates in a state-wide program that hires high school students for half-day shifts. Age 16 and older. Call for more info.
Compensation:
Full Election Day Shift is $300; 5:15AM to 8:00PM
Half Election Day Shift is $150; 5:15AM to 1:00PM or 1:00PM to 8:00PM
Responsibilities:
• File application & notify the Board of availability each year
• Attend 3 Hour Training
• Setup and operate voting machines, equipment and supplies
• Process voters using electronic Poll Book
• Pick up and/or return Election Day supplies if selected

April 22 - Drop Boxes open for Primary Election
May 14 - Voter Registration Deadline for Primary Election (County Clerk's Office open until 7pm)
May 28 - Deadline to apply for a Mail-in Ballot "by Mail" for Primary Election (walk-ins still allowed)
May 29 - June 2 - Early Voting Period
June 3, 3pm - Deadline for in-person Mail-In ballot applications for Primary Election
June 4, Primary Election Day
