I’m deeply honored to share that I have been named a recipient of the 2025 Emerald Award by the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (NJ LCV). I am humbled to be recognized for my commitment to protecting the environment for future generations.

The Emerald Award is given in appreciation of “outstanding devotion to protect New Jersey’s precious air, water, and open space.” And I’m delighted to be recognized alongside such inspiring leaders as Congressman Herb Conaway and Assemblywoman Alixon Collazos-Gill, and to be celebrated at NJ LCV’s 11th Annual Gala on Monday, June 16.
This year’s Gala promises to be a powerful celebration of environmental leadership. Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy will be honored with the Founders Award, recognizing their unwavering vision and service to environmental progress in New Jersey. The Changemaker Award will go to Jay Watson, former Co-Executive Director of the NJ Conservation Foundation, and Pat Lindsay-Harvey, Commissioner of the Willingboro Municipal Utility Authority - two individuals who have made an incomparable difference in their communities and in the lives of others.
For years, NJ LCV has been at the forefront of environmental advocacy in New Jersey. They are a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to electing environmentally responsible candidates to public office and holding them accountable for their actions. Their mission is to protect New Jersey’s precious air, water, and open spaces by advancing strong environmental policies and promoting civic engagement.
NJ LCV works to build political power for people and the planet by endorsing pro-environment candidates, advocating for sound environmental legislation, and mobilizing voters to participate in the democratic process. Through these efforts, they aim to ensure a healthy environment and a sustainable future for all New Jersey residents.
Their work is critical to ensuring that our state remains a healthy, sustainable place to live. They are a tireless voice for the environment, and a powerful force for progress.
To be recognized by NJ LCV is both a tremendous honor and a call to continue doing the work. Environmental protection is not a solo effort—it’s something we must do together, as neighbors, residents, and stewards of this beautiful state.
I encourage everyone who wants to protect our environment and who shares a love for New Jersey’s natural beauty to attend the Gala on June 16. It’s a chance to celebrate the wins we’ve had, be inspired by visionary leaders, and support an organization that’s driving real, lasting change.
Tickets and sponsorships are available through NJ LCV’s website.
Let’s come together to celebrate and recommit to the work ahead.
Thank you again to NJ LCV for this honor—and thank you to the people of West Windsor for your continued trust and partnership.
