Hopewell Twp, NJ –The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County invite you to the annual Evening in the Garden, Wednesday, July 24, 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Join us at the Mercer Educational Gardens, 431A Federal City Road, Hopewell Township, on the grounds of Mercer County Stables.
It promises to be a beautiful evening with the seven educational gardens in bloom. Rutgers Master Gardeners will be on hand to chat with everyone about plants and planting, butterflies, pollinator insects, soil, compost, and even weeds.
Three mini demonstrations will be held on Planning and Planting Containers, Herb Harvesting and Drying, and Tool Care and Maintenance. The Butterfly Garden will feature a new Swallowtail Host Garden. Mercer County Horticulturist Justine Grey will answer questions about plants and the Rutgers Master Gardener Program.
